History

HighChem Essentials has its roots from the former Hoechst Marion Roussel which closed operations in Kenya in 1999. The HighChem group of companies was formed through a management buy-out of the Hoechst Marion Roussel in Kenya. HighChem Essentials ltd initially operated as HighChem Veterinary ltd based on its then veterinary orientation.

In 2004 the Veterinary operations had expanded into Hygiene and Crop care business and hence the need to have a company name that represented all areas of operation- Highchem Essentials Ltd. For a clear insight into our product portfolio, visit the Product catalogue page.

Currently HighChem Essentials Ltd has staff working in Kenya, and the larger Eastern Africa region i.e. Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
