Company History

HCSL has its roots from Hoechst, in 1997, Hoechst Ag-Germany spun off the chemical business to Clariant International leading  to formation locally of Clariant Eastern African Limited.

In year 2000, Clariant East Africa Ltd wound up operations in Kenya and split distributorship of core products into two agencies that saw the formation of Polychem East Africa and Kemia International Ltd.

In the same year 2000, Polychem East Africa Limited and HighChem East Africa Limited concluded a distributorship and marketing arrangement for the agency products.
